This is the transcript of a live transmission
that I issued on YouTube today.
Please take a look. I hope you'll feel inspired.
Today is December 20th, 2024, and we are about to celebrate Christmas next week! So, I am coming live today to tell you a story, to share a story with you. I'm a little bit excited because I have just given a class. My class started at 8:00 and finished at 9:00. It's now 9:03, so you see that I have just finished my class. I asked my student if I could share this story with you, although I’m not going to mention his name, as I usually try not to mention my students’ names.
This student is a very nice guy, and he’s married to a very nice woman. Both of them study with me. She is a basic English student, though she has been studying with me for a while now, and he is more of an advanced English student. Both of them are very committed. Today, he told me a story that happened just two days ago.
Two days ago, he was walking on the street when he saw that a dog had fallen into a drain—a drain on the street, you know, that thing where the water goes in. The drain was open, and the dog was inside. Somebody had cruelly thrown the dog into that drain. My student saw the dog, felt pity for her—yes, it’s a girl, a little girl—and decided to adopt her. He named her Luna. Now Luna has a new home.
Currently, Luna is under treatment. A vet is taking care of her. She’s absolutely gorgeous and looks very healthy now, just two days after being rescued. I saw her picture! I can’t show it to you because she was in his arms, and I don’t want to expose his picture here—it’s too much exposure. The dog is being treated by a vet and is taking medicine to heal her wounds and some kind of infection. She’s going to get vaccinated as soon as she recovers from anemia. Unfortunately, she hasn’t been eating well, as the person who did this to her was cruel and didn’t take care of her at all.
Luna now has a new house! She will live with his mother-in-law, who has a bigger house. My student will sponsor everything for the dog. She’ll also have a friend there named Madruga, who is a male dog. I joked with him, saying, “You have to get Luna castrated, or you’re going to have 101 Dalmatians in no time!” It’s not a Disney movie—be careful! He laughed and said he’s going to do that.
Luna is such a sweet girl, showing so much affection for him. She didn’t show any fear while she was in his arms. She even licked his face a few times, almost as if trying to talk during our conversation, which was all in English. So, Luna made an appearance during an online English class—a live transmission! It was amazing.
I couldn’t help but share this story because it feels like a Christmas story. Luna got a family as a present, and that family got Luna as a gift. They both gained something very special. The family gained a new pet, and Luna gained a new family. I hope this story has inspired you.
Again, I want to encourage you to study English, especially individual ones like this student and his wife, isn’t effective. You can have classes in the morning, afternoon, or evening, and even on Saturdays. We just need to arrange the time. I have a very busy schedule, but online classes are very useful and effective. You’ll learn a lot of English, talk a lot, and share your personal stories, just like he did. He told me this entire story in English at the beginning of the class.
So, come along! Talk to me. Email me—there’s an email address in the description of this video or somewhere else on this channel. If you can’t find it, it’s very easy: teachersergioviula@gmail.com. No big deal. The classes are great. Come along!
Merry Christmas, guys! Enjoy your holiday and your season. Have the merriest Christmas of all and the best year in 2025! That’s my most profound wish and my real feelings for all of you who follow me here. Thank you so much. See you around. Bye-bye!
