A carnival float is a decorated vehicle used in a parade to display performers or artwork.

It’s the outfit worn by dancers or participants in a parade.

• a mask

A mask is something you wear over your face to hide it or to look like a character.

• a flag bearer

A flag bearer is someone who carries and displays a flag in an event.

• a master of ceremony

In the context of carnival, the master of ceremony is the performer who accompanies and presents the flag bearer.

• a drum queen

A drum queen dances in front of the drummers during a carnival parade.

• a samba parade

A samba parade is an event where participants present themselves in a procession.

• a street carnival group

A street carnival group is a group that plays music and celebrates in the streets during carnival.

• a samba theme

A samba theme is the main story or idea shown by a samba school during a parade.

• the Sambadrome

The Sambadrome is a venue similar to a stadium where samba schools parade every year.

• Apotheosis Square

This is where samba schools finish their performance and gather after the procession across the Sambadrome.
