Present Perfect
- Structure:
- Affirmative: Subject + has/have + past participle
- Example: "I have visited Paris."
- Affirmative: Subject + has/have + past participle
- Negative:
- Structure: Subject + has/have not + past participle
- Example: "She has not seen that movie."
- Structure: Subject + has/have not + past participle
- Interrogative:
- Structure: Has/Have + subject + past participle?
- Example: "Have you finished your homework?"
- Structure: Has/Have + subject + past participle?
Ideas
Completed Actions: Actions that occurred at an unspecified time before now.
- Example: "They have traveled to Japan."
Life Experiences: Experiences up to the present.
- Example: "I have never eaten sushi."
Recent Actions: Actions that have relevance to the present moment.
- Example: "He has just graduated."
Actions with Duration: Actions that started in the past and continue to the present.
- Example: "She has lived here for five years."
